The Presidential Election

I don't really know alot about this coming up election because I won't be able to vote when it comes, so I haven't really concentrated on finding out a whole lot about it. I do know a little bit though. I know that McCain has secured the republican side and that Hillary and Obama are fighting for the place as the democratic candidate. I found an article that talkes about the fight for the democratic nomination ( http://www.startribune.com/nation/16449836.html)
(I don't think this link will work) In the article it talks about how Hillary talked to Obama about possibly being her vice president. Obama told her that he was running for president and not vice president and that one of them was going to win. He said that voters would have to choose between the two. As for my opinion I know I don't really want Hillary in office and since my parents primarily vote republican I would be more inclined to lean to that side. (Like Mr.Voight said your parents tend to influence your opinions.) However the more I find out about Obama the more he interests me, I liked his answer to Hillary's comments and think he might possibly make a good president (although I'd have to find out more about him).

The God Particle

I thought this was an interesting article (and kind of hard to understand). If the "God Particle" does indeed exist and scientists managed to form it, it would be an amazing feat. I mean a particle 100 to 200 times the size of a proton would be a pretty amazing thing to produce. But that does not necessarily mean I agree with it, like Anita said in her post we would be putting millions of dollars into this project when there are people around the world that are starving. Also, what good would this particle do to us? I mean sure it would be cool and would help us understand our universe better, but what good would it be other that that. There is also a chance that it might not work, why spend so much money on something that could fail?
